 Ads Of The World
This website introduces all kinds of unique advertisement design. The media includes examples of 2D illustration, 3D animation, photography, typography, etc. The formats vary from billboards, bus stop installations, radio, television, and many other strategies are also introduced. On the website, there is a project for the Yellow Pages in Israel where the poster was installed in a bus stop. What I found effective about this project was that the audience had to scratch the poster to find out what it was about. I found it fascinating how this design interacted with the audience and transformed a boring waiting time into fun and enjoyment. Through this website, I can research unique global designs and absorb new ideas.  Jon Burgerman
Jon Burgerman is an illustrator with his signature style of free, colourful hand drawing. Burgerman’s home page is like the cover of an illustration book that is filled with illustrations and bright, saturated colours. On entering the page, the website itself is clearly defined with categories, labels and links. It also includes many images of Burgerman’s projects. It seems like Burgerman uses the Internet as one of his branding and marketing strategies. His works are sold via the website and icons for social networking sites like twitter and facebook can be downloaded through the website as well.  Steiner & Co.
Steiner & Co. is a design company founded by graphic designer Henry Steiner. The company’s design and motivation inspires me as a cross-cultural designer who brings Asian elements into West. Steiner & Co. especially works with Asian international companies like HSBC to help them with branding and international design marketing. The website has clear navigation and can be seen both in English and Chinese for a wider range of viewers. It introduces the images of their work and concepts, a little about the founder, the importance of cross-cultural design and their clients. Steiner & Co.’s work is all clearly labeled and thoughtfully made. |
